Rules and Etiquette
In order for everyone to have a fun time with Ghroton, rules and etiquette must be followed!
Below are a list of things that will get you a warning! If you persist in any of these things, you could very well be blocked from the group!
Rude or spiteful comments to staff
We'll be relaxed with you and understand if you get upset or frustrated, but any curse words, insults, or general awful attitudes will not be so easily tolerated.
Uploaded non-Ghroton related art to the group
Anything submitted to the group should be related to Ghrotons, no personal advertisements or non-Ghroton related characters please!
Failure to listen to rules
If any of us try to correct you on how to do something within the group, you should listen without extensive argument. We are trying to make sure things get done right.
Proper Etiquette
You don't need permission from another artist to draw their Ghroton.
One of the methods of earning Evos in this group is drawing gift art, so don't be afraid to just pick someone's Ghroton to draw for fun. Who knows, something might come of that little interaction! If you are a person who doesn't want people to draw your characters, or without your permission, keep this in mind as it is good group etiquette to surprise people with Ghroton gift art.
This isn't a roleplaying group!
You can roleplay your Ghrotons with your friends, but the group itself is more of a laidback art community similar to Wyngro. If you want to contribute to the group on a regular basis, you can. If you only contribute once every few months, that's okay too. Everything can be done on your terms and when you have time. You can draw art relating to your personal Ghroton roleplays, but there shouldn't be roleplaying in the comments or anywhere on the group page.
Be courteous to every other member!
This should go without saying. No making fun of another person's Ghroton design or drawing hateful or offensive things toward another artist. No malicious swearing, name-calling, or bringing any personal drama into the group. The group itself should be a calm and discourse-free place for art of weird chibi alien things.
No offensive or controversial art
I doubt this would actually happen, but like I said above; to keep the group calm and discourse-free, please abstain from any art that is offensive to any group of people, or anything relating to real-world politics or religion that could cause a big messy argument.
If DeviantArt allows it, the group allows it
This is in terms of mature content. DeviantArt allows violent and mildly nsfw content, therefore it is allowed in the group. Be sure to put the proper filters on if you do plan on submitting mature art. Full NSFW art of [yours or those who gave you permission] Ghrotons can be drawn, but should be posted to sites that allow that kind of thing, as DeviantArt does not.
No spamming or asking for promos from the staff.
This also should go without saying. Please don't advertise anything in the group unless it is strictly Ghroton-related (doing Ghroton commissions for example). Please don't ask staff to promo you, your journal, group, etc.
Also do not badger staff to become part of the staff.
